Climate
Latvia has a temperate climate that has been described in various sources as either humid continental or oceanic. Coastal regions possess a more maritime climate with cool summers and mild winters, while eastern parts exhibit a continental climate with warmer summers and harsh winters. Latvia has 4 main seasons of almost equal length. Winter starts in December and lasts till March. Winters are characterized by snow cover, sunshine, and short days. Severe spells of winter weather with cold winds and heavy snowfalls are common.
Parks
Lativa has beautiful parks such as National Park in Vidzeme, Kemeri National Park in Zemgate, Slitere National Park in Kurzeme.
Food
Meat is the main meal of Latvian with their agricultural products and fish being very common among them.
Sports
The most common game is hockey. Latvian has produced many hockey stars like, Helmut Balderis, Artur’s Irbe, Karlis S Krastins, Sandis O Zolims and many of them recently. Its strongest hockey club is Dinama Rigo. Basketball is also one of the most played sport in Lativa and the best basketball player is Andris Biedrin, he plays in the NBA. Other than hockey and basketball there are many sports played like volleyball, football, floorball, cycling, tennis and bobsleigh. During july 2014 hosted the 8th World Choir Games.
Art and Culture
The Latvian Dance and song festival is the largest event is Latvian culture. During the festivals art and folk craft, exhibitions of photography, and a festive parade also takes place.The Czech is known through out the world for its mouth blown and decorated art glass and crystal. Alphonse was the best painter of Czech. There are many more well known artists like Max Svabinky, Josef Capek Cubism, Emill Filla, Vaclavspala, Jam Zizavcy and Toyen.
